The bell clangs and my heart sails
As I watch the caravans wail
Riding with the sand and dust
Gambling, fighting and rust.

My letter of freedom I will keep
As the roadsteads, I do seek
Change ends in the morning afternoons
Riding with old, unknown tunes.

Ah, I don't fear the long way ahead
My story turns a new page and is read
The Caravan Trail awaits, to be told
But none as far as I have been sold.
