And cream-colored rain to every window

A child I saw, laughing in joy
He pointed up, and his beaming smile
At the colorful stars in the sky, like a toy
The rain of color swirling all the while

And his smile bloomed, getting broader still
We chattered merrily, and had our fill
Of the joy in the air was such a thrill
Which once again, no one could kill
