Come gather 'round the barnyard, ye folk with gladness seeking, To witness animals with their tongues contentedly licking,
The cattle and the swine, and the furred of barnyard breed, Engrossed by the feast, 'neath their troughs each is feed.

The chickens gather near, a general raucous din, Beaks pecking, squawking, raising a gentle din,
The horses, they will nicker and the dogs will bark and yelp, The tongues of all the creatures today bear the wealth.

Thus endeth our judgement, our time here is done, Lest we take heed to the lesson of licking in the barnyard, one.
