Hope, Horizon

As fast as I can to the west I sprightly climbed,
Through winding trails that the river timed,
To find a place of peace by day and night,
Where life was new, so I could fight.

As I approached the city near at last,
A view of endless hope and dreams I cast,
The sun rose with my spirit now soaring,
To take me up, my future now exploring.

So with courage and light, a horizon I found,
In cities hustle, a new life abound.
