The Price I Paid

I beheld the choice before me with worry,
My fate, an uncertain baneful ferry.
Risks, I took, with words that I spoke,
In the name of progress, with a heavy cloak.

Brave steps, sure steps, wrong steps, meek steps,
The consequences I would fight to keep.
I could only watch as all of my actions,
led me to a place of dreaded reactions.

I chose to move forward, whatever the cost,
Dangerous Decisions, indeed I had crossed.
Unaware of future outcomes, I ventured forth,
Accepted my fate, and realized no North.
