Let time drift by like sand off the hourglass,
Though in the night I am the only one awake,
The moon and stars still cast the shining glass
Of many hues in the depths of a lake.
My mind wonders in the tranquil night air
As I ponder love and loss in the sky,
Time can be filled so carefree and fair
When living on lunar hourglass time I spy.
Time passes, life remains in constant flow,
A dream of stars paints new inspiration,
A promise of a sky ever so aglow.
