My sword has failed me,
The storm still clouds the sea,
It's been a storm that I just can't outride,
It's swallowing me whole, this fierce, raging tide.
It's a storm that's strong, so fierce and loud,
That I must cling tightly to its mast, shroud,
My ship, it's rocking, the storm will not cease,
I'm feeling my rise, toward its cruel bleakness.
No illumination to lend me hope and solace,
All I see is blackness and a deep gloom,
I'd offer an escape, but it would be too late,
For this raging storm I shall surely consume.
